Angela McLean is a Registered Psychologist
Angela is a Registered General Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) and Medicare. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Angela completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with the Australian National University in 2008. She was awarded First Class Honours in Psychology and holds a Master of Organisational Psychology with the University of Queensland.
Angela is a warm and empathetic Psychologist dedicated to helping adults live happy and fulfilling lives. She aims to provide a non – judgemental environment where clients can feel comfortable to share their life journey and gain the inner strength to overcome their life difficulties.
Angela works with adult demographics and has clinical setting experience supporting adults with a range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety disorders (including social anxiety, OCD and phobias), stress, trauma, grief, family, and interpersonal relationship difficulties. She also provides psychological therapy to individuals needing guidance in general life transitions and career changes.
Angela has also worked in occupational rehabilitation settings with expertise in helping clients recover from work related stress/burnout, mental health and physical conditions sustained in the workplace, including: anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment disorders and coping difficulties associated with reduced functions and/or chronic pain.
Angela tailors her treatment plan to meet each client’s unique needs and uses a variety of evidence-based psychological therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Therapy.
Angela can deliver psychological counselling under DVA, WorkCover NSW Insurances, and WorkCover QLD.
