About Deborah

Dr Deborah Wilmoth is a clinical and forensic psychologist, registered by the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA) and Medicare.  She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, the College of Clinical Psychologists, the College of Forensic Psychologists and the American Psychological Association.  Deborah is also a licensed psychologist in the state of Florida, USA.

With over thirty years of practice, Deborah has a broad range of clinical experience.  She has extensive experience in psychological assessment, trauma recovery, Family Court matters and family intervention across all ages.  She also has expertise working with children and adults and families who have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Deborah uses evidence-based approaches in order to tailor treatment to the unique needs of her clients.  Trained in behavioural and developmental theory, she is able to utilise a broad range of methods including cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive processing therapy, interpersonal therapy and family therapy.  Deborah applies ongoing measurement of client progress to enhance therapeutic outcome.

Deborah is available to provide workshops and professional development across a wide range of topics.  She also provides clinical supervision as an approved PsyBA supervisor as well as supervision to psychologists and other health practitioners.  In supervision, Deborah is particularly interested in how the sense of self impacts on a person’s abilities to cope with the struggles of life and on their other relationships.
